Little did i know they didn t sand or prepare the wood at all for painting so much of it has chipped and peeled away.
Paint the fronts of your cabinet doors and the faces of your drawers don t forget the sides. If the paint is too thick it will pool up in the corners and drip off the edges. You want a smooth thin coat. Painting a dark wood cabinet white is a commitment and it takes awhile so it had to be the right time to do it. We had nice quality wood cabinets but this corner of our downstairs was just too dark.

I think next year i will be looking at doing something similar. White painted wood bookcase. Having all the fake wood painted really makes my cabinets look like they re much higher quality now.
